| 中文描述 | 是很罕見的。CYTAUXZOON屬的原蟲類寄生蟲會造成血液疾病。在美國南部，開放性飼養的貓咪身上最為普遍。通常是致命的，但不一定都是。藉由找到血抹片中貓胞簇蟲的梨漿蟲形態(雖然寄生在血球中但只能看到少量或是在50%的案例中是不存在的)或是確認組織中的裂殖體來診斷。在動物身上會引起貧血、黃疸和發燒。藉節肢動物作媒介來傳播。 |

| 英文描述 | Rare. Protozozan parasites of the genus CYTAUXZOON can cause a blood disease. In the U.S. it is most common in free-roaming felines in the south. Usually, but not always, fatal. Dx by finding the piroplasms of C. FELIS in blood smears (although parasitized erythrocytes are seen in low numbers or absent in 50% of cases) or identification of schizonts in tissues. Should be considered in animals with anemia, icterus and fever. Probably spread by arthropod vectors. |
